Now established as a Cowboy headliner on defense after spending his freshman year and part of his sophomore season as the OSU's starting quarterback ... Will see action in a hybrid position in 2007 that will allow him to line up in the secondary or with the linebackers.
2006: Started 12 games at safety (lone exception was Kansas) and collected 62 tackles to rank fifth on the team and second among the secondary ... Broke up four passes ... Returned a fumble 57 yards for a touchdown against Baylor ... Thwarted a Texas A&M scoring threat with a red zone interception ... His other interception in 2006 came in the bowl win ... Also had five tackles against Alabama ... Had a season-high 11 tackles against the Texas A&M and 10 stops at Houston ... Had tackles behind the line of scrimmage against Houston (half), A&M (half), and Texas Tech ... Forced a pair of fumbles to rank second at OSU in that category.
2005: Started the final five games at free safety after opening the season as the starting quarterback ... First defensive start came at Iowa State ... Ended the season with 32 tackles, including four behind the line of scrimmage, two interceptions and a forced fumble, a quarterback hurry and a pass breakup ... At quarterback, he was 17-of-32 passing for 163 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 61 yards ... Passed for 117 yards in the season-opening win over Montana State ... Recorded his first-career tackle, a tackle for loss, against Arkansas State and had seven tackles against Texas A&M and Iowa State ... Intercepted his first pass against Texas Tech ... Had a big game against Oklahoma with seven stops, including two behind the line of scrimmage, and returned an interception 31 yards.
2004: Completed 97-of-187 passes for 1,628 yards and 13 touchdowns with a touchdown pass in nine consecutive games ... Also rushed for a score in nine of the 11 games ... His 13 TD passes set an OSU freshman record and he averaged 35.3 yards per scoring toss ... Had 1,855 yards of total offense, another OSU freshman QB record ... Set a career high in passing yards with 224 against Texas (12-of-18) with a TD pass while also rushing 16 times for 41 yards and a score ... Threw for 207 yards in the loss to Oklahoma ... Rushed for a career-best 71 yards on 10 carries, including a 34-yard touchdown run, in the win over Missouri ... Woods set career highs in completions (15) and attempts (26) against Texas A&M while also tossing a touchdown pass ... He also had 11 carries for 38 yards with a one-yard scoring run. He had his best passing game of the year with three touchdowns against Colorado and completed 8-of-11 passes for 193 yards with an interception in the win over the Buffs ... Accounted for three touchdowns against SMU, scoring on a one-yard keeper, while also throwing a pair of TD passes ... Made his first-career start in his first collegiate game and finished with 19 yards rushing on four attempts, including a 15-yard TD scamper against UCLA
