Settled into a role on the defense after arriving on campus as a two-way star.
2006: Saw action as a true freshman but did not record any statistics.
High School: A talented, two-way performer ... Had 1,086 yards rushing and 19 touchdowns as a senior, despite missing three games .... Junior season numbers included 800 rushing yards and 36 tackles on defense ... First-team all-district as a senior ... Also competed and excelled in track ... A regional qualifier in the long jump and on both the 4x100-meter and 4x200-meter relay teams ... Also recruited by Iowa State, LSU, Mississippi State and TCU.
Personal: Born July 6, 1988 ... Son of Derrick and Shonta Armstrong ... Has a younger brother, Derrick, and two younger sisters, Raven and Aavia ... Majoring in broadcasting at Oklahoma State and hopes to work in the world of sports journalism someday.
