Pettigrew Named To Preseason Watch List

Oklahoma State junior tight end Brandon Pettigrew has been named to the preseason watch list for the Mackey Award, presented annually to the nation's top tight end by the Nassau County Sports Commission.
The Mackey Award has been in existence since the 2000 season. Former award winners include Kellen Winslow, Jr., Marcedes Lewis and Heath Miller.
Pettigrew, a product of Lee High School in Tyler, Texas, caught 24 passes last season covering 310 yards with five touchdowns. He ended 2006 by catching six passes for 105 yards in the last two games of the season (regular season finale vs. Oklahoma and the bowl win over Alabama). He was an honorable mention all-Big 12 pick as a sophomore
He will enter the 2007 season with a string of 20 consecutive starts under his belt.
