Tyler Leon, Pablo Martin and Ryan Posey were among the players that met the requirements necessary to be chosen to the squad. Juniors and seniors with a 3.2 minimum grade-point average are eligible for the distinction. In addition, the Division I student-athletes must maintain a stroke average under 76.0.
A senior last season for the Cowboys, Leon was a four-year starter, was named a second-team All-American in 2005 and was twice named an honorable mention selection. Off the course, the Dallas, Texas native was tabbed as an Academic All-Big 12 pick for the third time in his career in 2007.
Martin competed collegiately for three seasons before joining the professional ranks earlier this summer. A first-team All-American on two occasions, the Malaga, Spain native was chosen for the second time in his career to the Academic All-Big 12 squad this past season.
Posey was also a senior last season and posted a pair of runner-up finishes during the 2007 spring slate. The Dallas, Texas native was a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection during his career as well.
