INDIANAPOLIS Â Oklahoma State's women's track and field team was represented well by Leah Schroeder at this weekend's AT&T USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Indianapolis as she used a personal record time to finish seventh in the 5,000-meter run.
Schroeder, a freshman from Sauk City, Wis., claimed the top ten finish with a time of 17:32.14. Emily Sisson of the Cornhusker Flyers took the gold as she finished in a time of 16:48.67.
The Cowgirls also got a solid performance this weekend from volunteer assistant coach Alison Erzinger in the 400-meter hurdles at the Finish Line USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Indianapolis. The 2005 All-American concluded her remarkable season by finishing 13th in the semifinal run with a time of 58.55.
“Both of these runners represented Oklahoma State really well this weekend,” Cowgirl head coach Rene Sepulveda said. “It was a great accomplishment for Alison to finish 13th in the country.”
