Americans Extend Lead At Copa de las Americas

The Americans built a 10-shot advantage over the field after yesterday's round and extended that lead to 23 shots over second-place Argentina with one round remaining. The U.S. will begin play tomorrow at the par-72, 7,001-yard layout with a 29-over-par 893 total.
The tournament is comprised of four-player teams consisting of two men and two women and is a 72-hole event with all four scores counting each day.
Oklahoma State's Jonathan Moore posted a 2-over 72 and moved into a tie with Andres Felipe Echavarria Botero with a 54-hole total of 220. The duo will enter tomorrow's round 10 shots behind individual leader Alan Wagner, who fired a 70 during his third round and stands at 6-under 210.
Moore's teammate Webb Simpson holds sole possession of fourth place at 5-over 221 after posting an even-par 72. The duo is currently second in the men's standings at 441, 9-over, and three shots behind Argentina.
On the women's side, Stacy Lewis and Jennie Lee are running 1-2 after posting rounds of 70 and 78, respectively. The duo stands atop the leaderboard by 21 strokes with its 452 total.
