STILLWATER, Okla. Â– Oklahoma State's women's track and field coach Rene Sepulveda announced the signing of Clarissa Andrews, a prep standout from Rockwall, Texas to a National Letter of Intent.

An eight-time district champion at Rockwall High School, Andrews claimed titles in the long jump and triple jump.

As a senior, she also garnered top honors in the long jump at the regional championships, which qualified her for the Texas 5A State Track and Field Championships.

Sepulveda said Andrews will focus on running the 4x100 and 4x400 relays, while also competing in the triple jump and long jump.

“Clarissa will be a big part in building a competitive relay team,” Sepulveda said. “We will also look for her to rapidly improve in the jumping events.”

Andrews joins a strong recruiting class that includes 12-time Oklahoma state champion, Teran Mixon (Colgate High School), and Katie Hamilton, who was a five-time Oklahoma state champion at Idabel High School.
