Steyn Earns ESPN The Magazine Academic Honor

STILLWATER, Okla. - Moira Steyn, a jumper on Oklahoma State's women's track and field team, has been selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America second team, as chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Steyn graduated with a master's degree in May after accumulating a 4.0 GPA in industrial engineering.
“Moira has been a solid example of a student-athlete,” Cowgirl head coach Rene Sepulveda said. “We are really proud of her for earning this honor.”
ThePretoria , South Africa native managed to put together a solid senior campaign, highlighted by a 14th-place finish in the long jump at the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships and a berth in the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have competed in 60 percent of the team's scheduled events, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.
