Cowboy Golfers Selected To Compete In NCAA Central Regional

Oklahoma State's men's golf team will compete in the NCAA Central Regional it was announced today. The 54-hole event will take place at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois on May 17-19.
Coming off their 10th NCAA title last year, the Cowboys enter as the No. 2 seed behind Alabama. OSU earned an automatic berth after winning its fifth Big 12 title last month.
The Cowboys will be one of 27 teams in the field vying for 10 spots at the NCAA Championship, which will be conducted May 30-June 2 at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club in Williamsburg, Va.
Since the inception of the current qualifying format in 1989, OSU has competed in the Central Regional each year, claiming six team titles and producing five individual medalists at the event.
Last year, the Cowboys posted a 16-shot victory at Sand Ridge Golf Club in Chardon, Ohio with Jonathan Moore taking individual medalist honors for the Cowboys.
Before beginning regional play, OSU will travel to Ardmore, Okla., in search of its fifth consecutive title at The Maxwell on May 12-13.
