Dietz Leads Cowgirls at NCAA Midwest Regionals

Dietz, who entered the meet ranked No. 27 in the region, scored the Cowgirls only two points with a seventh-place finish and throw of 159-09 (48.69-meters). Also in the event, junior Alina Roman finished 15th with a distance of 151-09 (46.26-meters).
Junior LaKendra Greathouse then claimed an 11th–place finish in the shot put with a throw of 49-01.75 (14.98-meters).
The Cowgirls then got solid outings from seniors Zivile Siksnelyte and Moira Steyn in long jump as the duo finished 15th and 18th, respectively.
Sophomore Mateja Posavec then highlighted OSU in the triple jump with a 13th-place finish and a distance of 40-11.74 (12.49-meters). Sophomore Baiba Blumbaha and Siksnelyte also performed well in the event as they finished 17th and 18th, respectively.
OSU also got a solid performance from junior Eva Tomankova in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as she finished tenth in a time of 10:40.08.
