Baumann to be Inducted into NAIA Hall of Fame
May 27, 2007 | Cowgirl Cross Country & Track
“It is a great honor to be awarded for all of the hard work I put in during my collegiate career,” Buamann said.
Baumann, who joins four other track and field inductees, was a 10-time All-American in the shot put and discus at Doane College in Crete, Neb.
In his second season at OSU, Baumann has developed junior LaKendra Greathouse into a two-time Midwest Regional qualifier in the shot put, while helping junior Deleanor Kirkpatrick accomplish the honor last season in the hammer throw.
Individuals inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame must be persons of outstanding quality, high moral character, fine leadership ability and must be held in high esteem by their colleagues, former coaches and former athletes.
The Hall of Fame consists of a division for each sport currently or formerly sponsored by the association and a division for general meritorious service to the NAIA. Each sport division is divided into three categories: athlete, coach and meritorious service.
