Two Cowgirls Set Regional Qualifying Marks at UTA Invite

Greathouse, a native of Gonzales, Texas, finished fifth in the shot put with a toss of 49-04.50 (15.05-meters), while Siksnelyte captured top honors in the triple jump with a distance 40-06.75 (12.36-meters).
“(LaKendra) Greathouse really performed well,” Cowgirl head coach Rene Sepulveda said. “She and the rest of the girls who throw the shot have a goal of reaching the 50 foot barrier. She is real close of achieving that mark.”
Also in the triple jump, sophomores Baiba Blumbaha and Mateja Posavec inched closer to setting regional qualifying marks. Blumbaha finished fourth with a personal record distance of 39-10.50 (12.15-meters), while Posavec jumped 39-04.50 (12.00-meters) to finish in the top five. Sophomore Breanna Reavis jumped a distance of 35-03.75 (10.76-meters) as it was her first time to compete in the event.
In the discus, OSU was highlighted by a personal record performance by Merritt Dietz. The sophomore from
The Cowgirls then got a solid performance from Kalea Tam in the 400-meter hurdles as she finished with a time of 1:08. 90. Sophomore Tihana Sarac then added a 24th-place finish in the 400-meter run as she ran a time of 58.00.
On Saturday, junior Eva Tomankova had a solid outing in the 1,500-meter run as she finished in a time of 4:39.30 at the final day of the Stanford Invitational in
