Cowboys Complete Final Practice Prior To Orange-White Game

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State's football team held an 80-play scrimmage Wednesday afternoon as it completed its final workout prior to Saturday evening's Orange-White game.
The Cowboy coaching staff will now finalize Saturday's rosters for a game that figures to be evenly matched. The teams will not be composed of first units against second units, but of first and second teams divided between the two squads.
The players aren't the only ones who will be split evenly, according to head coach Mike Gundy.
“We've divided up the coaches,” he said. “The coordinators will not call plays. They're just going to watch. We've split the staff up with the plays being called by the assistant coaches. We're going to let them get after it.”
Wednesdays' workout was held on the turf of Boone Pickens Stadium.
“The defense played well today,” Gundy said .”Offensively we had too many penalties and we had a couple of interceptions.”
The scrimmage was headlined by a couple of highlight-film manuevers by senior running back Dantrell Savage.
“We haven't let him do a whole lot this spring,” Gundy said. “But, yeah when he's out there, he's pretty good.
The Orange-White game will kickoff at 5:30 p.m. The Cowboy baseball team hosts Kansas State at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the football contest.
