Cowboys To Wear Retro Jerseys In Pepperdine Series
March 09, 2007 | Cowboy Baseball
STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State baseball fans can take a trip down memory lane this weekend as the Cowboys will wear special retro jerseys from the 1980s during their weekend series against Pepperdine at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
The Cowboys will sport both black and white jersey tops this weekend. The script on the front reads “Oklahoma State” with the “State” embroidered onto a baseball bat. They will also be wearing retro hats with the interlocking “O” and “S” on the front. The jerseys and hats were manufactured by Majestic.
“Oklahoma State is a place with a rich baseball tradition, and we wanted to do something to honor that,” OSU coach Frank Anderson said. “Majestic was able to work with us, and the uniforms really look sharp. Our players are excited about it, and I think our fans will really like it.”
OSU, which is ranked 16th, opens the three-game series against 10th-ranked Pepperdine on Friday at 6:30 p.m. The final two games will be Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m.
