Cowgirls Selected as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

For the fifth consecutive year, Oklahoma State's women's cross country team was named a Division I All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for its performance in the classroom last semester.
“We are proud of our team,” Cowgirl head coach Rene Sepulveda said. “This is a big accomplishment for our girls not only to be recognized athletically, but also academically. Earning this honor also shows the type of student-athletes we bring into this program.”
As a team, OSU compiled a 3.660 grade point average, the fifth highest of any team in the country. The Cowgirls were also one of five teams selected from the Big 12 Conference, which also included Baylor, Nebraska, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
The USTFCCCA recognized 145 teams with the academic honor. To be honored as an All-Academic Team, teams were required to compete in an NCAA regional meet and have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
BYU claimed a 3.730 GPA, the highest of any All-Academic team selected.
