Cowboy Golf Finishes Sixth At Southern Highlands Collegiate

LAS VEGAS-Oklahoma State's men's golf team used a 295 team score on Sunday during the final round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate to claim sole possession of sixth place.
The Cowboys began the day in 10th place before moving up four spots with their 7-over round. OSU's 54-hole total of 891 was three shots behind Minnesota for fifth place. UCLA won the tournament after posting the lone round under par on Sunday. The Bruins finished with an 874 total and three shots ahead of Georgia.
Lucas Lee made it a clean sweep for the Bruins, claiming medalist honors with a 3-under 213 total to finish one shot clear of the field.
Senior Tyler Leon led the way for the Cowboys, tying for 23rd place at 222 after posting his third consecutive 74. Sophomore Trent Leon carded a 76 on the day to come in with an 8-over 224 total and tied for 28th place.
Senior Ryan Posey was the lone OSU player to break par on the day, firing a 2-under 70 to move from a tie for 66th into a tie for 34th place at 226.
Junior Pablo Martin posted a 75 on Sunday to finish with a 228 score and tied for 42nd place, while sophomore Jonathan Moore dipped into a tie for 45th place at 229 after a round of 81.
The Cowboys will be back in action on March 26 when they travel to Austin, Texas to defend their title at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate.
