Morgan Fourth, Mason Fifth at NCAA Championships

Nathan Morgan fought back with a pin in a consolation match after suffering a disappointing semifinal lost and finished fourth at the NCAA Wrestling Championships at the Palace in
Morgan is not known for being a pinner, but that is how he advanced into the third-place match with a fall over seventh-seeded Brandon Rader. It was just the second fall for Morgan in 94 career matches.
He could not keep it up in the third-place match as No. 11 Charles Griffin of Hofstra scored a first period takedown and turned him over for two points at the end of the first period.
Brandon Mason finished fifth after defeating third-seeded Steve Luke of
Mason fell to the fifth-place match after suffering a loss in the consolation semifinals to eighth-seeded Matt Stolpinski of Navy. Mason was leading 3-2 in the closing seconds of the second period when Stolpinski got in on a shot. Mason tried to fight it off, but Stolpinski rolled him over on to his shoulders for the fall.
The Cowboys remained in fourth-place in the team standings with 69 points.
Coleman Scott and Johny Hendricks are set to wrestle in the finals at 133 and 165, respectively. The finals can be seen live on ESPN beginning at
