Cowboys Make Move on Second Day of Wrestling Championships

Coleman Scott and Nathan Morgan became the first Cowboy semifinalists as they eked out narrow decisions in the final seconds at 133 and 141 pounds, respectively.
OSU made a charge in the team standings with their four quarterfinal victories and moved from eighth to third. The Cowboys have 48.5 points and trail
Scott had to score a reversal just to force the extra period and then he struck quick on fifth-seeded Matt Keller of Tennessee-Chattanooga with a double leg takedown. It is his first appearance in the semifinals and he will meet top-seeded Nick Simmons of
Morgan trailed 11th-seeded Charles Griffin of Hofstra by a point late in the third period, but a late reversal and ride out gave Morgan a two-point victory. Morgan will face second-seeded Derek Moore of UC-Davis in the semifinals.
