Cowboy Golf Takes Charge at UH Hilo Intercollegiate

The third-ranked Cowboys began the day five shots out of first place, but posted the day's low round by five strokes for a 533, 27-under, total. OSU will take a four-shot lead over Stanford and Georgia Tech into the final round tomorrow morning.
All 10 of OSU's individual rounds thus far have been in the 60s at the par-70, 6,738-yard Waikoloa Village Club and four of the five Cowboys competing in the event will begin play on Friday in the top 15 on the individual leaderboard.
Sophomore Jonathan Moore led the charge, moving from a tie for 17th place into third place after posting a career-best 62. The defending NCAA champion has a two-day total of 130 and is two shots off the lead held by Georgia Tech's Cameron Tringale.
Junior Pablo Martin moved into the group tied for seventh at 134 after a round of 66 and was joined by senior Ryan Posey, who fired a 65 to get to the 6-under total.
Sophomore Trent Leon posted a 3-under 67 to move into a tie for 13th place, while senior Tyler Leon finished the day tied for 29th place at 137 after a round of 68.
Tomorrow's final round will begin with a 7:30 a.m. (HST) shotgun start.
