“(Deleanor) Kirkpatrick had an impressive performance today,” Cowgirl head coach Rene Sepulveda said. “She has been one of the hardest workers for us this year during practice, and there is no doubt that she deserves a good performance like she had today.”
Kirkpatrick earned first-place honors in the weight throw with a personal record mark of 58-03.75 (17.77-meters), while Tomankova garnered the 1,000-meter title in a time of 3:00.
Oklahoma State was also led behind three other personal record performers that included senior Zivile Siksnelyte, junior Stephanie Lovely and freshman Julie Rader.
Siksnelyte, a native of Vilnius, Lithuania, finished fourth in the long jump by setting an indoor personal best distance of 19-02.75 (5.86-meters). Siksnelyte also picked up a solid third-place finish in the triple jump.
