Cowgirls Set to Compete at Sooner Indoor

Last weekend, the Cowgirls had four athletes set personal records at the ISU Classic in Ames, Iowa.
This weekend's meet will feature a number Cowgirls who are trying to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Junior Eva Tomankova will compete in the 400-meter dash and 1,000-meter run, senior Zivile Siksnelyte in the long jump and triple jump, junior LaKendra Greathouse in the shot put and junior Deleanor Kirkpatrick in the weight throw.
The Cowgirls will then look for strong showings from senior Moira Steyn, junior Lauren McKee and sophomores Baiba Blumbaha and Tihana Sarac in the jumping events. Sarac will also compete in the 60-meter hurdles, 400-meter dash and shot put.
Oklahoma State will also look for solid performances from freshman Alina Roman and Merritt Dietz in the shot put.
Junior Stephanie Lovely will have a busy day as she will compete in the mile run and 3,000-meter run. Also in the mile run, OSU will look to get added support from junior Meghan Sullivan, while sophomore Nina Andersson and freshman Irene Masai will run unattached in the event.
University of Oklahoma will host the meet with the women's weight throw kicking things off at 10:00 a.m.
