February 12, 2007 | Cowboy Baseball
Following a perfect weekend in south Texas, the Oklahoma State baseball team has moved up in the eyes of the national baseball media.
The Cowboys climbed from No. 22 to No. 17 in the Baseball America poll released Monday morning. Other Big 12 schools in the poll are No. 14 Texas and No. 19 Nebraska. OSU remained No. 24 in Collegiate Baseball.
Oklahoma State opened the season at the Citrus Tournament in Edinburg, Texas, with three victories. The Cowboys started the season off with a 5-2 win over Lamar on Friday, followed by 7-0 shutout over McNeese State and then a Sunday win over Illinois-Chicago, 8-5.
The Cowboys are on the road again this week at the FAU Beach Ball Bash in Boca Raton, Fla. That field includes host Florida Atlantic, La Salle and Ball State.
