Arrive Early, Keep Your Eyes On The Sky
November 04, 2007 | Cowboy Football
Fans coming to Boone Pickens Stadium will want to arrive early to enjoy the patriotic pageantry prior to the OSU-Texas football game on Nov. 3. The pregame festivities include an appearance by Challenger, (the first bald eagle in U.S. history trained to free-fly into sports stadiums) during the presentation of the National Anthem.
Challenger is cared for by the American Eagle Foundation, which is dedicated to the preservation and protection of the domestic bald eagle and its habitat. In addition, OSU has planned a fly-over featuring four F-16 “Fighting Falcon” aircraft piloted by OSU alums from the OklahomaAir National Guard's 138th Fighter Wing.
