Cowboys Head To Norman For Bedlam Series Clash

The Final Saturday
Oklahoma State plays its final game of the 2007 regular season Saturday afternoon when it visits the University of Oklahoma for the 102nd renewal of the Bedlam Series. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. with FSN on hand to televise the game.
TV Time
Oklahoma State will be making its ninth television appearance of the regular season, tying a school record. OSU will be appearing on FSN for the fourth time this season. OSU previously played on Fox against Texas Tech, Texas A&M and Baylor. OSU defeated Nebraska in a game that was televised by FSN on a pay-per-view basis.
For The Record
Oklahoma State enters the Oklahoma game with a 6-5 overall record and a 4-3 mark in Big 12 play. With four conference wins this season, OSU has equaled its conference win total from the previous two seasons combined. OSU last won four conference games in 2004. A win over OU would give OSU a 5-3 conference mark for the first time since 2003. OSU has never posted a record better than 5-3 in Big 12 play.
An Outside Shot
If the Cowboys get some help from Texas A&M in the Aggies' game against Texas on Friday, Saturday's Bedlam game could be for a share of the Big 12 South title. OSU is one game behind the Longhorns and Sooners in the division race. A win by A&M over Texas on Friday would give OSU a chance to move into a three-way tie for the championship if the Cowboys beat Oklahoma on Saturday.

OSU head coach Mike Gundy is the older brother of OU running backs coach Cale Gundy. OSU director of football operations Jimmy Gonzales was an administrator with the Oklahoma football program under Gary Gibbs.

A bowl appearance would also place Mike Gundy next to Pat Jones and Les Miles as the only OSU coaches to guide the Cowboys to two bowl games in their first three seasons as head coach.
