Cowboy Golf Finishes Fourth At Isleworth-UCF Collegiate

Oklahoma State's men's golf team wrapped up play at the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday with a 5-over 293 to finish fourth at Isleworth Golf and Country Club.
The Cowboys finished the 54-hole event with an 866 total and three shots behind Southern California for third place. Georgia ran away with the team title, finishing with a 23-under 841 total and 21 shots clear of the field.
Individually, Georgia's Harris English claimed medalist honors after a final round 66 gave him an 11-under 205 total and a three-shot victory.
OSU freshman Rickie Fowler carded a 1-over 73 to finish alone in fourth place with a 5-under 211 total. The Murrieta, Calif. native has now finished in the top five in each of his three college starts.
Junior Trent Leon rebounded from a 75 during his second round with a 69 to finish tied for seventh at 213 and earn his first top 10 of the season. The Dallas, Texas native got off to a hot start, making five birdies on the front nine to make the turn at 5-under 31 and finished with six birdies on the day.
Sophomore Trent Whitekiller carded a 78 during his final round to finish at 222 and tied for 40th, while freshman Mark Johnson posted his best score of the tournament with a 73 to come in at 223 and tied for 48th place.
Freshman Kevin Tway finished tied for 58th place at 225 after carding a 78 during his final round.
The Cowboys will close out the fall season at the Callaway Golf Collegiate Match Play Championship, which is set to begin Oct. 28.
