Three Second-Half Goals Lift Cowgirls Over Oral Roberts

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State concluded the non-conference portion of its regular season with a 3-0 win over Oral Roberts in front of 1,001 fans Friday at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.
The 18th-ranked Cowgirls got second-half goals from Adriane Radtke, Yolanda Odenyo and Annika Niemeier as they improved to 10-3-2 on the season. ORU fell to 7-6-2.
“In the first half, I didn't think we were mentally prepared to play, and (ORU) played hard,” said OSU head coach Colin Carmichael. “In the second half, Adriane (Radtke) set the tone for us with her leadership. Everyone followed her and stepped up their game and played harder.
“It was a good win, and it was nice to have different people scoring. It's nice to have so many options.”
Radtke got OSU on the scoreboard in the 51st minute, netting a goal off an assist from Kasey Langdon. The goal was Radtke's fourth of the season and 30th of her career, while Langdon recorded her team-leading seventh assist of the season.
Less than 10 minutes later, OSU increased its lead to 2-0 as Radtke sent a pass to Odenyo, who blasted a shot into the upper far post for her fourth goal of 2007.
The final score of the night came on an unassisted goal from Niemeier, her third of the season.
OSU goalkeeper Erin Stigler collected three saves and recorded her fourth shutout of the season. The shutout marks the 12th of her career, which is two shy of the Cowgirls' career record.
Radtke's three points on the night give her 83 for her career. She needs just two more points to become OSU's all-time scoring leader.
The Cowgirls return to Big 12 Conference action Sunday at Texas Tech.
