Pair Of Cowgirls Earn Weekly Awards

STILLWATER, Okla. Â Oklahoma State sophomore midfielders Kasey Langdon and Siera Strawser were honored this week by several national publications for their play the week of Oct. 8-14.
A native of Wylie, Texas, Langdon was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Women's College Team of the Week and also earned a spot on the Soccer America Women's Team of the Week.
Strawser, a Bixby, Okla. product, was selected to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week.
Langdon led the Cowgirls' offensive attack against Kansas and Missouri over the weekend as she was a part of three of the OSU's four goals and finished with four points.
Against Kansas on Friday, Langdon had an assist in the 71st minute to give OSU a 2-2 tie, and on Sunday against Missouri, she played a role in both goals in the Cowgirls' 2-1 upset of the No. 5 Tigers, a win that gave OSU its first ever over a Top 5 opponent. Langdon recorded an assist on OSU's first goal against Mizzou, and then just 3:08 into overtime she scored the unassisted game-winning goal from 15 yards out. Four of her team-high five shots in the contest were on goal.
Langdon leads OSU in scoring (14 points) and assists (6) this season, while her four goals ranks second. She tops the Big 12 in assists per game (0.50).
Strawser recorded OSU's initial goals against both Kansas and Missouri. Her first-half goal against the Jayhawks tied the score at 1-1, and she also scored the equalizer just under 12 minutes into the second half against Mizzou.
Despite missing three games this season, Strawser has recorded three goals and an assist .
