Cowboy Baseball Schedules Fall World Series

STILLWATER, Okla. — The Oklahoma State baseball team will conclude its fall practices with a seven-game, intrasquad world series beginning Thursday, Cowboy head coach Frank Anderson announced today.
The Cowboys will be divided into three teams and will play a round-robin format at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium. The first game of the series will be Thursday, Oct. 18, while the second game will be played on Friday. The series will resume with five games Oct. 22-26 (Mon.-Fri.). All games are open to the public and will begin at 3:30 p.m., with the exception of the game on Thurs., Oct. 25. That game will begin at 6 p.m.
Anderson welcomes back 21 players, including All-Big 12 Conference performers Rebel Ridling and Jordy Mercer, from a 2007 squad that went 42-21 and advanced to an NCAA Super Regional. Joining that group of returners is a nationally-ranked recruiting class of 18 newcomers.
