Langdon's Goal Lifts Cowgirls To 2-1 Overtime Win

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Kasey Langdon scored from 15 yards out just over three minutes into overtime to lift 23rd-ranked Oklahoma State to a 2-1 win over No. 5 Missouri at the Audrey J. Walker Soccer Stadium Sunday afternoon.
With the win, OSU improved to 9-3-2 overall and 3-2-1 in Big 12 Conference play. The victory marks the Cowgirls' first ever against a Top 5-ranked opponent.
The Tigers, who came into the match atop the league standings, dropped to 10-3-0 overall and 4-1-0 in the Big 12.

The Cowgirls tied the score less than 12 minutes into the second half as Siera Strawser scored from 16 yards out, taking a pass from Langdon and drilling the ball into the far upper post to make the score 1-1.
The goal was Strawser's third of the season and second of the weekend as she also had one Friday against
Langdon also came up big in the overtime period, as on the match's decisive play she outraced the defense and blasted a shot past Mizzou goalie Mallory Forst into the back of the net for the game winner. The goal was her fourth of the season, with two of those being game winners.

Stigler finished tied a season high with eight saves in the match.
“Stigler stepped up and made some big saves for us, which is always what she seems to do in big games,”
After being outshot by a dozen shots in the first half, OSU was nearly even with the Tigers over the final 48 minutes as Mizzou owned just an 11-10 advantage in shots during that span.
The Cowgirls return to action Friday at 5 p.m. when they take on Oral Roberts at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.
