Greathouse, Siksnelyte Lead Cowgirls at Final Day of KSU Invite

“Overall, we performed well for it being the first meet back from winter break,” director of operations Abraham Ekal said. “We look to get back to practice and improve as the season progresses.”
Junior LaKendra Greathouse was impressive in shot put as she finished first with a season best throw of 46-00.50 (14.03-meters). Kansas State's Jenny Glodowski finished second with a distance of 45-3.50 (13.80-meters).
Also in the event, sophomore Merritt Dietz (fourth-place) claimed a top-five finish with a toss of 43-11.75 (13.40-meters), while sophomore Tihana Sarac finished eighth with a distance of 37-00.25 (11.28-meters).
The Cowgirls also claimed the top-three finishers in the triple jump as senior Zivile Siksnelyte garnered top honors with a jump of 39-7 (12.06-meters). Sophomore's Baiba Blumbaha and Mateja Posavec performed well as they finished second and third, respectively.
Oklahoma State will return to indoor action at the ISU Classic, January 18 in Ames, Iowa.
