Siksnelyte Claims Two Titles at Notre Dame Invitational

Senior Zivlie Siksnelyte captured two individual titles in the triple jump and long jump as she led
“It was good for these three girls to gain a little more experience before we head into the latter half of the indoor season,” Cowgirl head coach Rene Sepulveda said. “Training has been tough the past couple of weeks due to the weather, but our girls performed well tonight, despite not being able to practice on the track.”
Siksnelyte, a native of Vilnius, Lithuania , won her second triple jump title of the indoor season with a jump of 40-3 (12.30-meters) . Siksnelyte then collected her first long jump title this season with a distance of 18-5 (5.65-meters).
Freshman Hanna Holst finished eighth in the 3,000-meter run with an impressive time of 10:14 in the event.
The Cowgirls will return to indoor action Feb. 2-3 as the team will depart for two different meets. The majority of the team will compete at the J.D. Martin Invitational in
