Oklahoma State junior midfielder Yolanda Odenyo was named to the Soccer America Team of the Week as it was released early this morning.
Odenyo, a native of Uppsala, Sweden, scored the game winning goal in overtime as the Cowgirls defeated Kansas. She followed it up with a goal on a penalty kick against No. 11 Colorado.
Odenyo is tied for the team lead with four goals and 12 points. She was the first player at Oklahoma State to be named to the preseason All-Big 12 team.
Oklahoma State is 8-1-1 on the season and 3-0 in Big 12 play. OSU is ranked as high as No. 17 in the NSCAA Top 25.
OSU plays eighth-ranked Texas A&M tonight in College Station, Texas at 7 p.m. The game is being delayed and will air on the Fox Soccer Channel at 10:30 p.m. The Cowgirls play No. 11 Texas on Friday night at 7 p.m. in Austin.
