After two seasons at Brigham Young University, Bradford joined Mike Gundy's first staff at OSU in 2005.
In his first season in Stillwater, Bradford coached an impressive group of linebackers that accounted for three of OSU's top six tacklers.
Bradford's experience at the collegiate level is extensive on both sides of the football. Prior to serving as offensive coordinator at BYU for two seasons, Bradford coached on the defensive side as secondary coach and kickoff cover coach at Middle Tennessee in 2002.
While at BYU, Bradford coached a pair of award-winning wide receivers in Todd Watkins, an honorable mention All-American, and Austin Collie, the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year and a Freshman All-American.
In 2000 and 2001, Bradford coached the defensive backs at Wisconsin, and he was a defensive assistant at Louisiana Tech from 1997-2000. He also served as defensive coordinator at Louisiana Tech.
As a collegiate coach, Bradford has tutored players like Wisconsin's Jamar Fletcher, who led the Big Ten in interceptions and won the Jim Thorpe Award. Fletcher was a first-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins.
At Wisconsin, Bradford coached a pair of All-Big Ten players, and at Eastern Michigan he coached a defense that set 43 school records. Bradford also coached at Lehigh as defensive coordinator in 1994 and helped guide that school to the Patriot League championship game and the league's second best defense.
A native of Salt Lake City native, Bradford played on the 1984 Ricks Junior College team that played for the national championship in the Valley of the Sun Bowl. He also played defensive back for Southern Utah and helped that team to an 8-3 record his senior season.
Bradford began his coaching career in 1987 as an assistant at Southern Utah. He then moved to New Hampshire where, from 1988-93 he was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.
Bradford and his wife, Sondra, have a son, Kody, and three daughters, Ashlee, Hailee and Whitnee.
