Cowgirls Challenge Big Ten Foes, Michigan State and Michigan

OSU will take on Michigan State on Friday evening at 7 p.m. The Spartans come into the contest at 1-1 after losing to Central Michigan before coming back to defeat Western Michigan on Sunday. Freshman Lauren Hill led the way for the Spartans tying a school record with four goals against WMU. MSU is currently ranked 10th in the Soccer Buzz Great Lakes Regional Poll. The Spartans are projected high coming off of their first ever NCAA Tournament win last season.
OSU hosts Michigan in an early 11:30 a.m. kickoff on Sunday. Michigan has only scored one goal thus far, but that one goal was a big one. The Wolverines knocked off No. 17 Arizona, 1-0, in double overtime. UM is currently 1-0-1 on the season after tying Western Michigan in its season opener. The Wolverines are led by junior forward Melissa Dobbyn who led the team in scoring last season with 12 goals and eight assists. Judy Coffman scored the goal that beat Arizona. Michigan is currently ranked eighth in the Great Lakes region by Soccer Buzz Magazine.
All fans get in free on Sunday with a ticket stub from Friday's game. Friday night is international student night. On Sunday, YMCA members get in for one dollar and hot dogs are 50 cents.
