Cowboys Participate in Big 12 Media Days

Before the Cowboys' were even scheduled to participate with the media, senior offensive lineman Corey Hilliard sat down for photographs and a brief interview with the Daily Oklahoman's Mike Baldwin in the hotel lobby.
The session began with one-on-one interviews with national television outlets, including ABC/Intersport, College Sports Television (CSTV) and Fox Sports Net. Questions ranging from Boone Pickens' $165 million donation to Mack Brown and the Texas Longhorns' national championship were asked and answered.
During the following session in the print media room, Coach Gundy answered questions for approximately 15 minutes before breakout tables were set up and occupied by Coach Gundy, defensive end Victor DeGrate, wide receiver D'Juan Woods and Hilliard.
Live and taped radio interviews were next as the Cowboys moved from station to station, often answering the same question over and over again. Several radio stations from Oklahoma were in attendance, as well as outlets from Kansas City, Omaha, Neb., and other cities from around the Big 12 region.
Once done with the radio interviews, it was on to the electronic media room, filled with more than 25 television cameras split into two separate areas. Coach Gundy and players would answer a multitude of questions, most of them answered many times before, in front of one bank of cameras, only to do it again in front of another dozen or so across the room.
When it was all finally over, many media members were overheard mentioning how Coach Gundy was the best-dressed coach in attendance, while the players spoke very well during their interviews.
Overall, it was a very productive and busy day for three Cowboy football players and their head coach.
