One of the top offensive line prospects in this part of the country, McKinney opted for Oklahoma State after also being lured by Arkansas, Iowa State, Missouri, Texas Tech and Tulsa. He consistently graded out at over 90 percent during his high school career. His strength is noted in a 710-pound squat and a 365-pound bench press. His post-season high school honors included Scout.com Midlands Top 100, first team all-Big City and first-team all-district. McKinney was also named first-team All-State by both the Oklahoma Coaches Association and the Daily Oklahoman. McKinney is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and has worked numerous FCA camps. Personal: Born Feb. 23, 1988, Myron is the son of Veretta McKinney. He lists singing and video games as his favorite off-the-field activities. Myron is majoring in education at Oklahoma State and hopes to become a teacher and coach someday.
