2005: Although he suffered from nagging injuries all season, Lawson-Kennedy still started six games at nose guard and played in all 11. He compiled 12 tackles, three tackles for minus-nine yards and a quarterback sack. He had a season-best three tackles in the season opener against Montana State. Xavier recorded two tackles against Florida Atlantic, and registered his only sack of the season against Arkansas State. 2004: Lawson-Kennedy played in nine games and recorded four tackles, with one quarterback hurry and a forced fumble. He made one tackle against Tulsa and three against UCLA. 2003: As a true freshman, Lawson-Kennedy played in 11 of OSU's 13 games, missing only the season opener at Nebraska and the Cowboys' win over Texas Tech in Stillwater. For the season, Lawson-Kennedy registered 11 tackles, including one for minus yardage, and had two quarterback hurries. High School: One of the top defensive line prospects in the country, Xavier had over 120 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and six sacks his senior year at Duncanville High School. He was highly decorated after his senior season, earning first-team USA Today All-America honors, as well as being named first-team All-State in Texas by the Associated Press. He was also named All-State by the Dallas Morning News, and was the district's Defensive Most Valuable Player. Xavier was named to the Texas Football Super Team, and was listed as a top-100 player nationally by the Dallas Morning News. His junior year, Xavier had 117 tackles, with 48 coming behind the line of scrimmage. He also had 69 quarterback hurries and 10 sacks. Xavier was rated as the 43rd-best overall high school prospect in the country, and the sixth-best high school defensive lineman in the nation. He was also recruited by Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Florida, Arkansas, Miami and Texas. Personal: Born on Dec. 23, 1984, Xavier is the son of Linda Lawson-Kennedy and Victor Kennedy. He is majoring in economics at Oklahoma State.
