2005: McBean was a mainstay on the defensive line after starting all 11 games at defensive tackle. He recorded 37 total tackles, including 5-1/2 tackles for loss and three sacks. His single-game high was six tackles against Arkansas State. Ryan registered his quarterback sacks against Arkansas State, Colorado and Baylor. Junior College: McBean was a first-team all-conference performer as a sophomore in 2004 and finished the season with 58 total tackles and seven sacks. He started from the moment he stepped on campus at Hinds Community College. High School: McBean had a stellar prep career at Trinity High School in Euless, Texas. He was a first-team all-district selection after his senior season as well as the districts Defensive Most Valuable Player. He was also named first-team all-district by the Dallas Morning News. He chose Oklahoma State over Arkansas, Mississippi, Southern Mississippi and Texas A&M. Personal: Born April 23, 1984, Ryan is the son of Donnett McBean. He is majoring in management at Oklahoma State.
