2005: Friess did not see any game action as a sophomore reserve offensive lineman. 2004: Phil did not see any action his redshirt freshman season. 2003: His redshirt season at Oklahoma State. High School: One of the top high school recruits in the state of Kansas, Friess was a three- year starter for a Conway Springs team that won back-to-back state championships in Class 3A. As a senior, Friess had 52 tackles on the defensive side and a pair of sacks. He earned honorable mention All-State honors as a junior and was consensus first-team All-State after his senior season. He also played tight end. Personal: Born Dec. 12, 1984, Phil is the son of Ronald and Kim Friess. He has a sister, Katy, who also attends OSU, and three brothers, Robert, David and Scott. He is majoring in agricultural business at Oklahoma State.
