2005: Jones, who has played multiple positions during his stay in Stillwater, played in 10 games a year ago. He started the first game of the season at cornerback where he registered four tackles. He was moved to running back during the season and rushed for 31 yards on six attempts. Jones contributed on kick returns where he had a long return of 53 yards against Missouri. 2004: Jones saw plenty of action as a reserve in the secondary and on special teams. He finished with 17 tackles on the year, including two tackles for loss. He had four tackles against Texas Tech and five stops against Baylor along with his first-career interception. Jones recovered a fumble in the end zone for a score against Oklahoma on a muffed punt attempt. He made two tackles against Colorado and had a tackle against Iowa State. He had two tackles against SMU and Tulsa, and opened the year with a tackle against UCLA. 2003: Jones contributed mainly on special teams with three tackles in 10 games as a true freshman. High School: Grant helped lead the Pawnee Black Bears to the Class 2A State Championship game. His senior season statistics included 2,481 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns. For his career, Jones had 5,329 yards rushing with 71 touchdowns, and added 975 receiving yards to his totals. On the defensive side, Jones had 16 career interceptions, five of which he returned for touchdowns. He was named first-team All-State by the Daily Oklahoman, the Tulsa World and the Oklahoma Coaches Association. Jones chose Oklahoma State over Nebraska, Kansas State, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Personal: Born Nov. 16, 1983, Grant is the son of Glen and Lucina Jones. He has two younger twin brothers, Gerald and Gerard. Grant is majoring in education at Oklahoma State. He enjoys lifting weights, playing video games and watching television in his spare time.
