Cowgirl Recruiting Class Recognized
June 12, 2006 | Cowgirl Soccer
Oklahoma State soccer coaches Karen Hancock, Colin Carmichael and Robby Hagemann have hit the recruiting trail hard, and their efforts have been recognized by Soccer Buzz Magazine.
Oklahoma State's recruiting class was ranked third in the Big 12 behind Texas A&M and Iowa State. The Cowgirls were also ranked fourth in the Central Region and 33rd nationally by Soccer Buzz.
This is following OSU's best recruiting class in school history. OSU had the 10th-ranked class in the nation in 2005. Oklahoma State has secured the top international talent the last two years. OSU landed the top rated international player in German native Annika Niemeier. Last year OSU got another German in Angelika Feldbacher who was rated second.
Oklahoma State opens the 2006 season on the road at Texas State on Aug. 25 before returning home to face Missouri State on Aug. 27.
