May 17, 2006 | Cowgirl Cross Country & Track
Oklahoma State's women's track and field team announced the signing of Holdenville, Okla., native Destyn Stallings to a National Letter of Intent.
Stallings, who was a four-year letterwinner in track and field at Holdenville High School, was the 2005 state champion in the high jump and recently captured the 3A state championship in the long jump. While at HHS, she was a four-time all-conference selection, four-time state qualifier and a two-time all-region member.
“(Destyn) will be a developmental heptathlete,” OSU throwing coach John Baumann said. “We believe she will be a great addition to the team.”
Stallings, who will be classified as a freshman for the 2006-07 season, will focus on the indoor pentathlon and the outdoor heptathlon.
