April 03, 2006 | Cowgirl Soccer
The Cowgirls trailed Sanford at halftime, but Jamie Markaverich scored on a feed from Jesyca Rosholt to knot the game at one. The two teams went back and forth with neither team denting the net and the game ended in a tie.
OSU trailed Vanderbilt 2-0 at halftime. The Cowgirls quickly got it back as Adriane Radtke scored on an assist from Leah Hope.
Yolanda Odenyo put on a show after that nearly completing the hat trick only to have a goal called back for offside. Odenyo scored an assisted goal before Nicole Grimaldi fed her for the equalizer.
“This was the best spring soccer game I have ever seen,” co-head coach Colin Carmichael said. “The girls showed a lot of heart to fight back from a 2-0 deficit and earn a 3-3 draw.”
Angelika Feldbacher played well for OSU all weekend giving the Cowgirls the opportunity to come away with two ties.
OSU remained unbeaten in the spring season moving to 3-0-4.
