Cowboys Complete Another Doubleheader Sweep Of Arkansas-Pine Bluff

Oklahoma State's winning streak reached six games on Wednesday as the Cowboys swept a doubleheader against Arkansas-Pine Bluff for the second-straight day at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
The Cowboys opened Wednesday's twin bill with a 12-2 win before racking up a season-high 26 hits in a 16-5 victory in the nightcap. OSU is now 28-13 on the season, while the Golden Lions dropped to 15-29.
In the opener, the Cowboys scored three times in both the first and second innings to take command.
Tyler Mach plated OSU's first runs with a two-RBI double and a sacrifice fly by Ty Wright made the score 3-0 after one inning of play.
In the second inning, Matt Clarkson and Corey Brown walked prior to Keanon Simon blasting a three-run home run over the right-field wall. Simon was 4-for-6 with two homers and five RBIs in the opener, and the junior outfielder also scored four runs.
Mach and Wright each finished the first contest with two RBIs, and Rick Rivas picked up the win on the mound to improve to 2-2. A senior right hander, Rivas allowed two runs on two hits in five innings of work.
In the nightcap, eight different Cowboys collected multiple hits as OSU cruised to a win and helped freshman Joe Kent earn his first-career win on the mound.
A southpaw making just his second start of the season,
UAPB actually took a 2-0 lead in its first at bat on back-to-back RBI singles by Marcus Rodgers and Kenyota Ento, but the Cowboys quickly took the lead for good in the bottom of the frame.
Mach got the scoring started again in the second contest, this time with an RBI single to score Deik Scram. Mach finished the contest 5-for-6 at the plate with a pair of RBIs and extended his hitting streak to 12 games.
The Cowboys tacked on five more runs in their second at bat to take control of the contest. Shelby Ford blasted a solo homer in the bottom of the second, and Mach and Wright each added RBI hits to the rally.
Simon also finished 4-for-6 in the nightcap, while Wright, John Schindler and Justin Colbert each collected three hits apiece.
The Cowboys return to Big 12 Conference action this weekend against
