OSU's Spring Game Set for Saturday
April 20, 2006 | Cowboy Football
Kickoff is set for 5 p.m., and head coach Mike Gundy has announced that fans will be treated to a game-like format. Because of construction on the north side of the stadium, seating for the spring game will be limited to the south.
“We want this to be a big time event,” Coach Gundy said. “We will play the first and second quarters like a real game but may run the clock in the second half.”
Another feature of Saturday's spring finale will be more than 200 former players and coaches expected to be in attendance. The former players will gather in Stillwater Friday evening, and have a golf outing Saturday morning before arriving at Boone Pickens Stadium.
Gates at Boone Pickens Stadium will open at 4 p.m. Fans will be able to enter the stadium through gates one, six and 10 on the south side. Although gates open at 4 p.m., fans are encouraged to arrive early to participate in a number of activities outside the stadium.
Fans should also be reminded that umbrellas, oversized bags and outside food and drink will not be allowed in the stadium. Video cameras will also not be allowed. Concession stands will be open on the south side of the stadium.
