Greathouse Leads Cowgirls at John Jacobs Invitational

Greathouse, who has qualified for the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, threw a distance of 45'0.5” (13.73-meters). The Gonzales,
Sophomore Deleanor Kirkpatrick captured a first-place finish in the hammer throw with a distance of 158'1” (48.19-meters).
Regional qualifier senior Cody Birk led the Cowgirl long jumpers with a third-place finish, jumping a distance of 19'7” (5.97-meters). Sophomore Moira Steyn jumped 19'2.5” (5.85-meters) to finish fourth, while junior Zivile Siksnelyte finished fifth with a jump of 19'1.25” (5.82-meters).
In the triple jump, Steyn and Siksnelyte nearly set regional qualifying marks with jumps of 40'3.5” (12.28-meters) and 40'2” (12.24-meters). The duo finished second and third, respectively.
