Cowboy Golf In Fourth Place At Aggie Invitational

The second-ranked Cowboys opened with a 6-over 294 during their morning round before closing with a 12-over 300 during the afternoon's action. OSU will enter tomorrow's final round one shot behind Kent State for third place, two shots behind Texas Tech for second and 17 behind leader and tournament host Texas A&M. The Aggies pulled away from the field with a 1-under 287 during the second round and stand atop the leaderboard with a 577 total.
Sophomore Pablo Martin carded rounds of 72 and 74 to stand in a four-way tie for fourth place at 2-over 146. Redshirt freshman Jonathan Moore is among the group at 146 after rebounding from a 75 during round one with a 71 during the afternoon round.
The quartet will begin play tomorrow four shots behind A&M's Robert Gates, who posted scores of 72 and 70 to hold a one-shot lead.
Senior Chris Clarke jumped from a tie for 40th into a tie for 18th after following up his first-round 77 with a 74 to stand among five players tied at 151.
Tyler Leon dipped from a tie for fourth into a tie for 27th after the Cowboy junior posted rounds of 71 and 82 for a 153 total.
Senior Zack Robinson carded rounds of 76 and 81 for a 157 total to stand in a tie for 47th place.
The Cowboys will return to the par-72, 7,235-yard layout tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. to begin their final round.
