Cowboy Golf Finishes Third At Aggie Invitational

The Cowboys finished with a 13-over 877 total to come in eight shots behind runner-up Texas A&M and nine shots off the pace of tournament champion Texas Tech. The Red Raiders stormed to the team title after carding a 12-under 276 on Sunday to erase the Aggies' 15-shot advantage.
Tech's Oscar Floren entered the day tied for second, but posted a 66 on Sunday to finish three shots clear of the field and claim medalist honors.
OSU sophomore Pablo Martin finished in sole possession of fourth place with an even-par 216 total after carding a 2-under 70 during his final round. The Malaga, Spain native continued his string of top-10 finishes, having now placed among the top 10 on eight consecutive occasions.
Redshirt freshman Jonathan Moore continued his solid play, posting his third consecutive top-five showing with a fifth-place tie. The Vancouver, Wash., native posted his second straight 71 to finish at 217.
Senior Chris Clarke closed the event with back-to-back 74s to end play at 9-over 225 and tied for 15th place.
Fellow senior Zack Robinson moved from a tie for 47th place into the group tied for 15th after a closing 68 to get to his 225 total, while junior Tyler Leon posted a 76 to finish at 229 and tied for 29th place.
The Cowboys will return to action on April 24 when they travel to Tulsa, Okla., to take part in the Big 12 Championship at Southern Hills Country Club.
