Soccer Completes Undefeated Spring
April 10, 2006 | Cowgirl Soccer
Oklahoma State's soccer team concluded an undefeated spring season over the weekend defeating Northeastern (OK) St., 7-0, before ending the day with a scoreless tie against the University of Central Oklahoma.
The Cowgirls had seven different players score a goal in their final spring tune-up before fall practice starts in August. OSU controlled much of the contest, but just could not find the net against the Lady Bronchos.
Oklahoma State went 4-0-5 during the rugged spring schedule, that included wins over NCAA tournament team SMU and an exciting 3-3 tie to nationally ranked Vanderbilt.
OSU will open the regular season on Friday, Aug. 25 on the road at Texas State. The Cowgirls will open up at home the following Sunday against Missouri State before hosting Michigan State and Michigan in the Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge on Sept. 1 and 3.
