Cowboy Golf In Second Place At Hall of Fame Invitational

The Cowboys wrapped up the day one shot off the pace of tournament leader Texas and one stroke clear of third-place East Tennessee State with 36 holes remaining.
Sophomore Pablo Martin birdied three of his first four holes and made the turn with a 2-under 34 score before finishing his day with an even-par 72. The Malaga, Spain native's score put him in a four-way tie for third place.
Only two players broke par during the round as leader Anthony Kim of Oklahoma, who shot a 5-under 67, and Texas' Jhonatton Vegas, who carded a 1-under 71, posted the day's only red numbers.
True freshman Trent Leon carded a 1-over 73 and is among five other players tied for seventh place, while redshirt freshman Jonathan Moore carded a 2-over 74 to finish in a tie for 13th place.
Among those players knotted in 13th, was senior Chris Clarke, who is competing in the event as an individual.
Junior Tyler Leon posted a 3-over 75 to come in tied for 21st place and senior Zack Robinson added a round of 79, 7-over, to end the day tied for 49th place.
OSU will return to the par-72, 7,422-yard layout tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. for the second round and will be paired with Texas and East Tennessee State.
